My October Wedding

I'm engaged! And I am currently planning an October wedding. And here is a little sneak peek into my wedding theme.

A summer wedding calls for bright flowers and neon bridesmaids dresses. A winter wedding; black magic roses and red decor.

But for an October wedding, I was inspired by OPI's "over the taupe" nail polish. It screamed FALL Wedding. I was inspired to have a taupe and ivory wedding.

Work Hard to Play Hard

Living a good life is all about balance. If you work hard, make sure to reward yourself by playing hard too! So today after a crazy leg day at the gym, where I squated a hefty 115 lbs. I showered and headed out to the nail salon for a mini spa vacation where I can soothe my muscles and escape reality for an hour.

And you don't have to break the bank to treat yourself. Trust me. Just ask for a polish change on hands n' feet (this is usually $10 for both!) but ask if you can sit in a spa chair. And chances are they'll let you soak if A. You've been going to the same place for years or B. if you go at slow hours like lunch time on weekdays or later on weekends.

Don't forget to tip them ;)
What's an appropriate tip for $10 mani pedi? $3 should be good.

How to escape: when you sit in that spa chair...grab ur headphones and listen to some soothing music (try Diva Premal on Pandora) and close your eyes. Be aware of each breath you take. Drift away into positive light n' love.

2012 Grammy Hits!

The 2012 Grammy Awards 

was not my favorite...

...a lot of old singers, boring performances (except Rihanna and Jennifer Hudson), and the fact that there was no red carpet pre-show was a NO-NO for me...

BUT...

...there were some eye-catching beauties there that night.

Here are my top 3 favs

1.Rihanna in her black silk Giorgio Armani gown with a plunging neckline and high-cut slit.

However, more than her attire, it was her raw and untamed hair that I L-O-V-E - loved!

Her golden-caramel lids and bold smoky look are a great compliment to her wild roots and sunkissed hair.

2. My second favorite look was Adele's Old-Hollywood look.

Her nails and matte-red lips and voluminous, big hair was sooooo in sync with her humble aura.

Adele, You are a TRUE Hollywood beauty and you deserved each and every grammy!

3. Fergie!!! Oh, Fergie! You looked fab in this orange lace dress!

And your traditional "POOF" is so awesome!

Use the law of attraction and manifest destiny to start living your dream. Whether its being rich, getting married, world peace, or just a cool new car! Items needed: 2 pc. Of paper Your favorite pen! A pebble, rock, or token you can carry in your pocket White candle ( please use cautiously) 1. Write your dream on a piece of paper affirmatively as though it's already your reality. Ex: I AM rich...I LIVE in a peaceful world...etc 2. Copy onto a 2nd piece of paper and put it under your pillow. 3. White the candle and read your dream out loud and meditate with the pebble in your hand. Feel it...See it...Believe it! 4. Go outside and burn the original dream and let it go into the hands of the universe. It is her responsibility now. All you have to do is believe it and live positively as though your dream is already your reality 5. Carry the pebble with you everywhere you go as a reminder of your dream. 6. My Sunday With Santa!

HO! HO! HO!

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!

I love the Christmas Season

*and lots of SHOPPING!!!*

My Sunday went something like this...

...Santa waved "Hello-o-o-o!" to me as I was riding up the escalator at the mall...

...I love the mall by my house - The Glendale Galleria - <~~ check out alllll the stores they have...on 3 floors...with a Macy's, a Nordstrom, AND EVEN TARGET!!!! haha I bet Kandee Johnson would love to live here :)

...So then we walked across the street to the Americana on Brand

it's so beautiful there...

*the tree is so tall, they have to bring it in with a crane*

...they even had a machine making snow bubbles ... It was a winter-wonderland with LA weather ... hahaha :)

...I went to Barnes & Noble ... I love to browse there and make a wishlist so when my friends n' family ask me what I want for the holidays, I actually have a suggestion for them ;)...

then my boyfriend took me to this part of the Americana...

and told me Santa is coming early this year!

Look what he got me!!! It's only thee coolest gadget!!! 

yup! this is the Apple iPad2

and I can't put it down. 

For the first time in years, I felt excited about something like I used to when I was a kid. 

I believe in Santa...Santa's spirit can spark happiness inside everyone!
